Emergency Relief Initiative: Iltizam Provides Daily Meals
Iltizam Relief Society started giving out emergency relief aid by giving ready-to-eat food to about 1,200 people daily.
Each family gets a set of meals to feed between 5 and 6 people at any one time. Each meal set contains the following;
- 10 pieces of breads
- A bowl of biryani rice
- A bowl of chicken kurma
- 1 bowl of dhal curry
- 1 bowl of fresh salad
- Fruits such as banana and apple
- A bottle of 500 ml of drinking water
Alhamdulillah, so far we have covered 5 villages in the district of Shaheed Benazirabad with a total of about 2,400 beneficiaries.
The relief aid distribution activities will continue for several more days until all the donations we received have been fully spent for the benefit of the flood victims in Sindh Province, Pakistan.
Emergency Relief Efforts in Gupchani & Muhammad Umar Dahari Villages, Nawabshah
In this temporary placement, they face an uncertain duration of stay. They adapt to life inside worn-out tents, patched together with torn fabric and supported by wooden poles.
They persistently await a glimmer of hope for a return to normalcy. The flood left most of their homes in ruins, destroyed in the blink of an eye. Even after nearly a month, water still stagnates in their residential areas.
Moreover, the facilities are far from perfect, and every day they long for a return to normalcy. In addition, Iltizam provided dry food packages to a total of 100 families, collectively distributing aid in a provided tent.
By continuing to support Iltizam in their upcoming aid missions in Pakistan, we provide the crucial assistance needed for them to recover. We welcome all the support and donations to allow us to continue helping the people of Pakistan recover from the worst disaster in the last 30 years.
