Aid for 52 Families Affected by Kudat Fire Tragedy
On November 4, 2022, Iltizam Relief Society swiftly responded to aid families affected by the Kampung Tanjung Kapor, Kudat fire.
Thus we provided essential food supplies and sleeping kits, and they addressed immediate needs.
Tragedy struck on the fateful night of October 10, 2022, when a fire erupted, engulfing 52 houses and leaving more than 250 residents without a roof over their heads.
Then, the final tally confirmed the staggering extent of the disaster.
With a deep sense of urgency, Iltizam Relief orchestrated an immediate response, delivering essential food supplies and sleeping kits to the affected families.
This timely intervention aims to provide crucial support during their hour of dire need.
Upon receiving notification from our local representative, Iltizam Relief swiftly initiated a fundraising campaign to assist the victims.
This proactive approach demonstrates our commitment to providing timely aid.
Moreover, Iltizam Relief provided food baskets, table fans, mattresses, comforters, and pillows to each family, thanks to your generous support.
The local Welfare Department’s officers supervised the distribution, ensuring aid reached the intended fire victims.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the local Scout Association (Pengakap Kudat), we efficiently distributed emergency aid items.
In addition, they played a crucial role by offering logistical support and volunteering their time.
With this assistance, we’ve brought solace and joy to 250 fire victims who lost everything.
