On the 2nd of March, Iltizam Relief Society was invited by the Rohingya community leaders in Malaysia to receive their donation for the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. The ceremony was attended by two of Iltizam’s staff, Rohingya community leaders, and representatives from IPK Klang.
Mr. Ismail, the Rohingya people representative stated that the Rohingya people understand the hardships and struggles of the Syrian and Turkish people during the aftermath of the devastating earthquake.
During the Gaza attack in May 2021, they stood up and extended a helping hand to the Gazans. They will now rally their community once again for the Syrians and Turkish people.
The amount of the donation is RM30,550. The funds were collected from the Rohingya people from all over Malaysia. The donation will be used to fund the temporary shelters for the earthquake victims, the next stage of the emergency relief project.
