The rural poor, mainly consisting of rubber tappers, are experiencing food insecurity due to rising inflation. Many of them have also recently survived floods.
Moreover, a total of 250 families, comprising almost 1,500 individuals, benefited from the free market organized by Iltizam Relief Society.
Furthermore, the groceries that were given out today in the free market programme were rice, a whole chicken, eggs, fish, vegetables, potatoes, onion, garlic, ground coffee, and curry powders.
