Food Baskets and Hygiene Kits: In the face of annual monsoon floods in Rantau Panjang, recent heavy rainfall submerged villages, leading Iltizam Relief to provide aid to 100 families with food baskets and 40 families with hygiene kits.
Despite receding floodwater, future floods loom due to monsoon and Thailand floodwater overflow into Golok River. Until flood retention walls are complete, Rantau Panjang and nearby areas face ongoing risks.
With unusual rainfall predicted to persist until March 2024, Iltizam Relief remains on high alert, ready for swift deployment to address potential emergencies and challenges brought about by the ongoing weather conditions.
