Waqf Quran for Yemen: To raise funds for endowing Qurans in Yemen, providing each child with personal access to the Quran, thus boosting their enthusiasm for learning and supporting their families.

Background:

Yemen has faced challenging times since the outbreak of war in 2015. Many schools were closed, and even though some have reopened, numerous teachers are working without pay or receiving minimal wages. Many children in Yemen have lost the opportunity to attend school due to their parents’ inability to sustain their livelihoods. Nevertheless, they have the chance to learn the Quran during their free time, but a shortage of Qurans has become a hindrance.

In response to the growing need, Iltizam Relief Society urges you to share a small portion of your blessings with those in Yemen. For those chosen, may this endowment become a weight on the scale of our deeds in the hereafter. Every moment is an OPPORTUNITY to accumulate shares in the afterlife as provisions for what lies ahead.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

“When a human being dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge from which people benefit, and a righteous child who prays for him.”

(Sahih Muslim, Book 12, Hadith 4005)
