Northern Gaza faces a severe humanitarian crisis with escalating attacks, high unemployment, blocked aid, halted trade, and destroyed food supplies. Thousands are left without essentials like food, clean water, and healthcare.
1. Why do we run Field Kitchens?
The Field Kitchen is the quickest and most efficient way to serve hot meals to a large group of people. It ensures more individuals can receive help in a shorter amount of time.
2. What do we serve?
Our typical menu includes porridge or rice with lentils, providing a nutritious meal for those in shelter centers.
3. What is the cost of the Field Kitchen Project?
Each day of the project costs $2,000 and allows us to serve meals to 1,000 people in the shelter center.
4. Where will the project take place?
The Field Kitchen will operate in IDP shelter center in North Gaza.
5. How do we send the funds?
All funds for the Field Kitchen are transferred via the Bank of Palestine to ensure transparency and efficiency.
6. How do we determine the number of beneficiaries?
We prepare meals in large pots, each serving around 180 to 200 portions. Each day, we prepare 6 pots, which is sufficient for approximately 1,000 people with a margin of ±10%.
7. How does food distribution work?
We coordinate with the camp manager to assess the population and ensure the correct quantity of food is prepared. After cooking, the food is handed over to the shelter center's management committee, which handles distribution to all families.
8. Is there a system for food distribution?
Yes, the distribution follows a pre-established list of beneficiaries. Families receive their food based on identification cards, ensuring every family gets their allotted portion.
9. Can families bring their own pots?
Yes, families can bring their own pots to collect food for their household, ensuring everyone is fed.

This official letter from the Director of Al Shifa Medical Complex confirms collaboration with ILTIZAM Relief Society to restore essential healthcare facilities in Gaza.
1. Hot Meals
We successfully delivered hot meals to Gaza as our first project, marking a major achievement in our humanitarian efforts. Despite facing logistical challenges, we ensured that freshly prepared, nutritious food reached those in need.
2. Diesel for Heavy Machines
We have provided crucial support for fuel in Gaza, enabling the use of heavy machinery in Jabalia to clear roads. This initiative aims to restore accessibility, making vehicle movement smoother. This effort offers significant relief to the people of Gaza, who have faced immense challenges after the conflict.
3. Medical Aid Disposable
In the midst of the crisis at Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, where around 650 patients, including 36 children, are in urgent need, we have stepped in to provide crucial medical disposables. We are supplying these vital items to support both the hospital and the displaced people in the medical complex. Our efforts aim to address immediate needs and help ensure ongoing healthcare amid the challenges.
4. Ambulance
We have provided our first fully equipped ambulance, now ready to serve the community. This $60,000 ambulance, funded by the donors generosity, comes with essential equipment for Gaza’s tough conditions. Your support not only replaces the destroyed ambulances but also strengthens the Gaza Civil Defence Force’s efforts to save lives during emergencies.
5. Solar Panel
We provide solar panels to generate water in Gaza. These panels offer a practical, eco-friendly solution to energy shortages by powering essential infrastructure like water purification systems. This innovation ensures a sustainable energy supply and represents a significant step towards environmental sustainability.
6. Food Pack
We successfully distributed food packs to the people of Palestine. Through a successful fundraising campaign, we carefully used the funds to buy essential, nutritious food items. We deeply appreciate our donors, whose constant support helps us provide high-quality food packs.
7. Diesel for Water Well Generator
Fuel is essential for tackling Gaza's water crisis, which has worsened due to an Israeli cutoff and 96% of water being unsafe. In mid-October, fuel shortages shut down key facilities and worsened the health crisis. Thus, we supplied fuel to the North Gaza well generator, restoring clean water access and helping to prevent disease.
8. Medical Aid Equipment
We have helped to provide essential medical aid equipment, reflecting our commitment to easing the suffering of those affected by the conflict. This effort demonstrates our belief that healthcare is a fundamental human right and is crucial for stabilizing conditions at Al-Shifa Hospital and supporting the vulnerable population it serves.
9. Flour Convoy
We have successfully distributed flour at the IDP Shelter in Gaza, bringing hope and sustenance to those in need. This wheat flour will provide much-needed support during these challenging times. We are distributing 20% of the 20 tons of flour we brought into Gaza in Rafah. The remaining 16 tons are being distributed by the Palestine Ministry of Social Affairs to ensure the aid reaches as many people as possible.
10. Restoration Al-Shifa Hospital
Since As-Shifa Medical Complex was largely destroyed, Kemal Edwan Hospital is the only facility still operating in North Gaza, serving about 700,000 people. The Ministry of Health in Gaza is working on a plan to rehabilitate As-Shifa and restore basic medical services.
Project 1: Rehabilitation of Dialysis Center (COMPLETED) The Dialysis Center, designed for 85 machines, had 32 machines damaged during the attack or while being relocated. With around 1,600 patients in Gaza needing continuous dialysis, the center has been fully operational since July 1st.
Project 2: Emergency Department (Fully-funded) We are pleased to announce that the Emergency Department at Al Shifa Medical Complex is now open officially on 1st September 2024 ! This critical facility, equipped with 70 beds, two surgery rooms, an Intensive Care Unit, and a Diagnostic Radiology Department with basic equipment, is ready to serve the injured in North Gaza.
