Emergency Aid: Sarawak Post-Flood Relief

Location: Kampung Baru Tatau, Sarawak
Iltizam Relief Society, in collaboration with Masjid Kampung Baru Tatau, successfully carried out an emergency relief mission to support flood victims in Tatau, Sarawak. With the generous support of Yayasan Hasanah and the GDRN (Government-Linked Companies Disaster Response Network), essential aid was distributed to 200 beneficiaries from two affected villages:
✅ 182 beneficiaries from Kampung Baru Tatau
✅ 18 beneficiaries from Kampung Dagang Tatau
✅ 200 food packs
✅ 200 mattresses
✅ 200 pillows
The Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department, DD John Sikei, and the Member of Parliament for Selangau attended a symbolic handover ceremony, which coincided with a special iftar gathering at Masjid Kampung Baru Tatau. The event not only delivered much-needed aid but also strengthened unity among Sarawak’s diverse communities.
