Cyclone Mocha Victims

Cyclone Mocha struck Myanmar and Bangladesh in May 2023, causing widespread devastation. The cyclone brought heavy rain, strong winds, and severe flooding, impacting millions. Rakhine State was particularly hard-hit, with extensive damage to homes, infrastructure, and agricultural land. The disaster led to numerous fatalities and displaced thousands.

Key Operations

Bangladesh

The Iltizam Relief Society has taken immediate action by providing food aid to 100 Rohingya families in the Kutupalong Refugee Camp, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. A total of 500 people have been assisted to alleviate their burden.

Myanmmar

Iltizam Relief Society has provided emergency assistance to victims, particularly the severely affected Rohingya community in Mrauk-U and Sittwe. The assistance includes food aid for 100 families, new construction of 55 tube wells, and the reconstruction of 22 new houses. A total of 1,270 peoples have been successfully assisted to alleviate their burdens.
