‘Projek Joran’ is our initiative to help underprivileged communities in Malaysia stand on their own two feet.

("Joran" is a Malay word for fishing rod.) As the well-known proverb says, "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."

While Iltizam Food Bank (formerly known as Al-I'tisam Food Bank) caters to short-term food aid needs, Projek Joran is a commitment to alleviating poverty by facilitating self-sufficiency in selected families.

We support self-employed individuals, fishermen, and small business owners by providing tools, teaching trades, and connecting them with business opportunities to enhance their economic situation and achieve family sustainability.
