Help Feed Syrians this Ramadan

Feed Syrians this Ramadan— Being plunged into vicious civil war for more than 11 years, innocent Syrian people have suffered from many aspects. Many Syrians are forced to leave their homes and some are forced living in ruins and makeshift houses.

Hunger and food insecurity are now the biggest threat to them. 60% of the Syrian population are suffering from food insecurity, ranking them among the top 6 countries with the highest food insecurities in the world according to the World Food Programme (WFP).

Therefore, in conjunction with the arrival of the noble month of Ramadan, let us bring joy and relief to our brothers and sisters in the refugee camps. Alleviating their distress and extending assistance to our brothers and sisters is a commendable act.

Syria Ramadan Project

The campaign details:

1.     Fresh bread

•       Area of distribution: Douma city
•       Target: 100 bread packs distributed daily for the month of Ramadan
•       Cost for one day: RM 904 / USD 197
•       Total fund needed: RM 27,120 / USD 5,910

2.     Hot meal

•       Area of distribution: Douma city
•       Target: 100 hot meals distributed 3 days a week for the month of Ramadan
•       Cost for one day: RM 3,700 / USD 755
•       Total fund needed: RM 44,400 / USD 9,060

Overall funds needed: RM 71,520 / USD 14,970

Importance of Helping Our Brothers and Sisters in Syria

The Prophet Muhammad said:

وَمَنْ يَسَّرَ عَلَى مُعَسِّرٍ يَسَّرَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَالآَخِرَةِ

Meaning: “Whoever makes ease for one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and the Hereafter.”
