Hospital: Save Kamal Adwan Hospital in Northern Gaza

In the heart of Northern Gaza, Kamal Adwan Hospital stands as the last beacon of hope for over 700,000 Palestinians who call this war-torn region their home. Unyielding in the face of relentless rocket attacks, these resilient individuals refuse to abandon the lands where they were born, the neighborhoods where they grew up. Their determination fuels them, driven by the haunting echoes of their forefathers’ fate during the first Nakba in 1948.

Immediate Needs:

Recently, our partner, a dedicated doctor formerly with Al-Shifa Hospital, visited Kamal Adwan Hospital. The skeletal staff working tirelessly there has identified critical needs:
1. Hot meals for over 100 patients and staff.
2. Baby formula.
3. Solar panels to operate generators.
4. Medicine and disposables.
5. Blankets.

Iltizam Relief Society is gearing up to provide an initial aid package worth $20,000 as early as this week. However, sustaining support requires a minimum of $50,000 per week. We believe this target is achievable with the collective generosity of existing and new donors. Your contributions can secure vital supplies for the hospital for at least the next two months.

The reality in Gaza now:

1. The longest war ever faced by Gaza for the last 20 years.
2. The biggest and the most brutal attacks from air, sea and ground using all kinds modern weapons using the latest technology including BLU-109 2,000 pounds bunker buster bomb which was believed to have been used several times to destroy several blocks of  apartment, latest in Jabalia refugee camp in Northern Gaza killing hundreds of civilians on Saturday December 2, 2023.
3. The biggest number of casualties among babies, children, women and the elderly in a short period of two months.
4. Hospitals, schools turn shelters, civilians homes, water desalination plan, power generations plant, and in facts any building that still stands are legitimate targets to the madmen in East Jerusalem.
5. The war the major powers of the world stand so firmly behind Israel to “to exercise the so-called the rights for self-defence”. However, the stand has began to wobble as results of strong public protests all over the world. The politicians only listen when they feels that their chances of re-election are in danger unless the began to listen to their voters.
6. The undeniable fact is that “NO OCCUPYING POWER HAVE ANY RIGHTS OF SELF-DEFENCE AGAINST THE PEOPLE THEY OCCUPIED”.

This is our humblest appeal to all: please donate to save Kamal Adwan Hospital and serve 700,000 people in Northern Gaza.

The daily bombardments persist, despite the occupying forces declaring 100% control over Northern Gaza. However, they have been proven wrong time and again. Daily and deadly clashes continue with little indication of slowing down. Such strong words are meant for the uninformed. In reality, resistance forces are actively launching rockets from the north, middle, and south Gaza into the illegal state.

After two months of fighting, the occupying forces’ only effective attacks are aerial assaults. The most significant success they have achieved so far is killing almost 15,500 civilians, maiming or wounding another 50,000 people, 60% of whom are women and children.

In our final note, on Saturday, December 2, more than 100 civilians were killed in Jabalia camp, and hundreds more were injured. Some analysts opined that this tragedy resulted from the use of a BLU-109 2,000-pound bunker buster bomb. Sadly, there is nowhere else they can go to seek treatment except for Kamal Edwan Hospital.
